We are looking for your assistance for exciting events coming up! Please scroll to PAC Corner to see how you can be part of the efforts in making great events and programs happen at Spring Creek.
For your information, here are some helpful news items and important dates ahead:
SCHOOL PORTRAITS (THIS Mon & Tues)
Kindergarteners up to Grade 4 should be ready Monday for school portraits - we will likely start with the youngest kiddos and work our way up. Tuesday will be for Grade 5 to Grade 7s. Thanks to Sea to Sky Photography for coming in again this year!
TERRY FOX RUN
Hello Families! We are looking for parent volunteers to help make our Terry Fox Run a success! The Terry Fox Run will be September 19th at 1pm. We are looking for volunteers to be marshals on course to keep everyone safe, volunteers to run with classes and finally we are looking for 2 brave volunteers who would like to be our Rabbits and lead the way! ATHLETICS
Our Cross Country Running season is upon us! There students interested in joining picked up their forms from Ms. Smith this week and practices will start this coming Monday! If any students missed out on getting a form please send them to Room 268 to pick one up. Races will start at the end of September – Go Bears Go!
AGENDAS / SCHOOL SUPPLIES / FORMS
A reminder to check your School Cash Online account to see what you have owing. All students will have a school supplies charge of $45 for elementary and $55 for intermediate as well as some Annual forms that will show as "0$". Some classes will have a $9 charge for their Agendas as required by specific teachers. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions or issues with the online system. There will be additional events & purchases through this system throughout the year, so it's a good idea to get it setup early! More information about this system can be found here.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION SURVEY
SD 48 is inviting you to do survey created by Bakau Consulting on diversity, equity, and inclusion, which is open from Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Your support in completing the survey will be crucial in ensuring we collect valuable feedback to guide the district’s efforts toward a more inclusive environment.

FAMILY DOCTOR
Health Link BC is your portal to find a local family doctor or nurse practitioner who can support your everyday health care needs. Translated in 130 languages and with access for those who are deaf and hard of hearing, the registry is available online or by calling 8-1-1 health link. PAC CORNER
WELCOME BACK OPEN HOUSE & BBQ - Thursday September 19!!!!
Join staff, students, parents, and caregivers for an open house and BBQ. The school will be open and teachers will be in the classroom waiting to meet parents and caregivers and share information on the coming year.
Be sure to get your tickets for the SPLITZ BBQ (before or after you visit classrooms) and catch up with old friends (maybe make some new ones). Tickets are on sale now:

BOOK FAIR - September 16th - September 20th
Book fair is BACK!!!!!! This event is always a huge hit with all the students and is the largest fundraiser for the library. Book Fair will be open during the Open House + BBQ on Thursday night.

LUNCH PROGRAM - VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
With a new Chef and new menu offerings we are looking for volunteers to help make the lunch program a huge success this year. Please join Chef Glenn in the library on Monday September 16th from 8:45am - 9:45am for all the details and how you can help.

We need your help! SCCS PAC knows time is tight and firmly believes many hands make light work (often when we ask for volunteers we ask for 30 mins - 1 hour of time).
