GET READY

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
      • Teachers purchase school supplies for their classes through bulk discounts. We ask that parents pay $45 for primary students and $55 for intermediate students through our online payment system KEV, also known as SchoolCash Online. This is a cost recovery initiative - fees collected from parents cover the costs spent on supplies. Parents are not required to send personal school supplies in with their students. Login here:
        https://sd48seatosky.schoolcashonline.com/
      • Individual items such as pencil cases, a special pen, clothing, etc., are still up to you, as families to keep the tradition of back-to-school shopping alive.
STUDENT & FAMILY AFFORDABILITY FUND
      • The Ministry of Education and Childcare is providing a grant to make back-to-school more affordable for students and their families. We want every family to know that they are eligible for financial assistance through the Student & Family Affordability fund, no questions asked.
Funds will be allocated towards school-related expenses, including:
          • School supplies
          • Field Trip funds
          • Family food security
          • Hot lunch
          • Basic necessities
          • Clothing/footwear
          • Other necessities
The funds will be available in the form of gift cards from Nesters for foods and other supplies. To access these funds - email [email protected] advising which of the above areas you could use some support for. We want to make sure these funds are easily accessed by those who need them! We will also continue to support anyone who requires assistance, with participation in our hot lunch program.
BUSSING
      • All students who seek bus transportation are now required to register annually to receive a bus pass and to have a bus seat allocated to them. Please click here to find out more about the bus information, and to register your students via the black link halfway down the page.
      • Busses will be running on September 3 for the one hour of school. Eligible, registered, students will be able to catch the bus at their designated stop. Eligible students who register before the start of the school year will have a bus pass produced and delivered to the mailing address provided on the online registration form. Eligible students who apply after the start of the school year will have a bus pass produced and delivered to their school as soon as possible. Students applying as a courtesy rider (ineligible rider) will not be allocated a seat and pass until October 15, 2024, when ridership lists are finalized.
